Cerebral Palsy

Cerebral Palsy

A group of disorders characterized by loss of movement or loss of other nerve functions. The disorder is caused by injury to the brain that occurs during fetal development or near the time of birth. Cerebral Palsy can also be caused by medical mistakes made at the time of delivery which may deprive the brain of oxygen or cause other injury to the brain.
