Erbs Palsy

Erbs Palsy

An injury to the brachial plexus, a network of nerves which runs from the spine to the shoulder and arm, down to the tips of the fingers. Injury to this nerve group can result in severe disability of the arm and hand. It can be caused by medical malpractice in applying unnecessary or excessive force during delivery. This is often the result of failing to recognize and deal appropriately with recognized risk factors associated with child birth.
