Hospital Malpractice - Hospital Negligence

The negligent or incorrect performance of the professional duties of hospitals. It is a departure by hospital staff from accepted standards of care in the medical community. It may consist of performing an act improperly or without medical reason or failing to treat when treatment is necessary. It can be based on mistaken diagnosis, failure to treat, delayed treatment, negligent treatment or failure to follow a proper course of treatment. It also includes errors in dispensing medication, surgical errors, anesthesia errors or failure to monitor or follow a patient's progress.
