Lotronex |
LotronexLotronex is a drug typically prescribed for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. It was pulled from the market in November 2000 after reports of several deaths, removal of patient's colon, and requiring bowel surgery. In June 2002, the FDA granted Glaxo Smith Kline permission to again make the drug available. It was approved for women with severe diarrhea predominant Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Because of serious safety concerns Latronex will only be available through a restricted marketing program. Physicians enrolled in the program must have certain qualifications and agree to fulfill specific responsibilities. Patients and physicians must sign agreements indicating they understand the risks and benefits. If you or a loved one may have been injured through the use of Lotronex you may want to contact a New York City Personal Injury attorney regarding Lotronex.
